Me too. I had a PhD in my own story. I spent years treating myself and my body as a problem to be solved. I spent decades talking and understanding. I even did years of body based practices feeling my feelings, releasing, and regulating. But something was still missing.
Until I found a shift that changed everything for me.
The shift was learning to relate to my body as a being and not a thing. From here, I learned to listen to my body and understand what my body was saying to me.
By deeply listening to my body, I learned my emotions are not problems needing to be fixed or energy needing to be released, but are a way my body was speaking to me about needs. And deeper than this, the needs were coming from parts of me - parts of me stored in my body as a pattern stuck in a time that I needed something, and it was not received.
My patterns were a story stored in my body of a time when I needed to be seen, to be heard, to be protected, to be safe, to be allowed, to be accepted, to be understood, to be free . . . to be LOVED. It was in this moment that I realized that my patterns were staying in place because they were parts of me asking to be loved.
So I created a way to respond to my body by meeting deeply held needs in a way I could feel in my senses. And as I did, my patterns began to resolve rapidly.
My defenses melted. I became less reactive. I stopped being triggered. My sadness lifted. I started to feel lighter. I found my joy again.
This way of responding to my needs in a way I could feel in my body was the missing ingredient for me. And over the course of 10 years, it became a method I call Ishtara. Ishtara is a method that goes beyond releasing and regulating to complete your patterns in 2 steps - move the feelings and bring love to the feelings by meeting the needs in a way we can feel in the body.
It takes a few weeks to learn. But once learned, it only takes 15-minutes a day to practice. And you also have a practice for life that you can apply to many patterns so you can stop seeking and start living more and more.

In time, my daily practice of listening to and responding my body created such a significant change that I become excited . . . and wondered -
"What if this could help other people?"
I was so excited, I started teaching it to as many people as I could for free - and it worked!
Over 10 years, my practice became a method. I call it Ishtara. Ishtara is a method you can practice at home and apply to creating lasting change to many of your emotional and behavioral patterns.
The method takes some time to learn, but only takes 15 minutes per day to practice. By learning this method, you will be able to feel the body of anything you are seeking to heal. For example, you can feel the body of your patterns or the body of your reactions. If you can feel them, you can heal them because healing becomes so much more simple.
The patterns in your body are just a memory of parts of your who needed to be loved. As you go back to these parts of you and meet their needs in a way you can feel, you free yourself from repeating patterns. This is our method, and it works.

I am trained as a yoga teacher (500 RYT) with an emphasis on yoga for healing trauma.
